We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that seeks to combine a love of adventure with a passion for litter removal. We care about the natural world and we leave the places we visit better than we found them. We go out on adventures to clean up rivers, creeks, and roadways.

Adventures Countering Litter was founded by Ben Amey. Years before the idea for this organization, he started picking up litter occasionally on fishing and kayaking trips. There was simply litter everywhere he took his poles and paddles. Soon, taking plastic out of the water became a big part of each trip. Now it goes into the trip planning!

Through environmental education, outdoor education, and community engagement, we want to organize anglers, paddlers, hikers, campers, cyclists, and all others that enjoy the outdoors to help keep nature beautiful for the next generation.  Click here for more about our long term plans.
